Black Snakes plays rock’n’roll. Catchy guitar based rock’n’roll you can’t control your legs from moving to. The band has proved themselves as an explosive live act, and had the honor of supporting the legends in New York Dolls, with good feedback from Dolls’ own Sylvain Sylvain.

Musically their universe has planets like Gluecifer, Hellacopters and The Datsuns. They combine music elements from the 60s with important aspects of punk and powerpop – they call it Punchrock. Vocally the band is a mixture of Eric Burdon from The Animals and Gluecifers’ king of rock, Biff Malibu.

2011 was an exciting year for Black Snakes. They reached the final in the band contest Emergenza, and played several critically acclaimed shows at some of Norway’s best live clubs. During the summer they toured China. They visited seven cities and impressed a new audience with their energetic live shows. Black Snakes’ concert at 2kolegas in Beijing is to found on the list of the best live music performances in 2011.

2012 marks the start of a new era. A new album is in the making, and one has the opportunity to catch a great rock’n’roll show in both Europe and Asia. Excellent critics and positive feedback makes it impossible not to have high expectations of Black Snakes’ future.

Black Snakes spiller rock’n’roll. Fengende, riffbasert rock’n’roll som får rockefoten til å svinge. Bandet har gjort seg bemerket med en rekke eksplosive sceneopptredener og har blant annet hatt æren av å varme opp for ikke ukjente New York Dolls – med strålende tilbakemeldinger – også fra Dolls’ egen Sylvain Sylvain.

Bandets musikalske univers har planeter som Gluecifer, Hellacopters og The Datsuns. De tar elementer fra 60-tallet og blander det med en touch av punk og powerpop. Til sammen blir dette det de selv kaller punchrock. Vokalmessig er Black Snakes en krysning av Eric Burdon fra The Animals og en rockeslipt Biff Malibu fra Gluecifer.

2011 var et spennende år for Black Snakes. De spilte seg frem til finale i bandkonkurransen Emergenza og spilte flere kritikerroste konserter på noen av Norges kuleste rockescener. I sommer var de på turné i Kina. De besøkte syv byer og imponerte et nytt publikum med deres energiske liveshow. Black Snakes sin konsert på 2kolegas i Beijing er å finne på BeijingDaze sin liste over årets konsertopplevelser.

I 2012 venter nytt album og nye muligheter til å oppleve Black Snakes live, både i Skandinavia, Europa og Asia. Gode kritikker og lovord i fleng gjør at det ikke går an å ha lave forventninger til Black Snakes’ fremtid.
